This is a great compromise between wanting a sturdy, quality keyboard tray but not wanting to pay $150. Easy to install, well made, works great. However, two comments. First, the wrist pad for the mouse just didn't stick. I finally found a glue that would hold it in place (made by Singer for sewing) and am sure you could find something else as well. The other problem is that if you put the mouse pad on as directed it will be an inch or two lower than the tray itself. This is very uncomfortable as the day wears on. However, if you simply remove the spacer and install it on the back side the mouse tray will then be almost level and all is fine. The only problem then is that you can't slide the mouse tray under the keyboard when you want to push the keyboard tray under the desk (because the mouse pad wrist pad is in the way), but that is not really a problem either as you can rotate the whole unit to one side and then push it back. So two minor problems, that are easily solved, making this a good buy.I love this keyboard/mouse tray. It's by far the best I have ever used. It's quite sturdy, and even after many months of steady use, I have no excessive vibration or "play" when typing or using the mouse. The slides and adjustments are designed very well, considering how simple it looks; it functions perfectly. The "swing-out" mouse tray is also very sturdy, and the black plastic spacer used to attach it has proven quite durable, although I was skeptical at first. My only comment on the mouse tray is that the tray (when in use) had a tendency to pivot clockwise toward me, causing me to readjust it frequently. Since I liked this keyboard tray so much, I decided to perform a simple modification to retain the mouse tray in the correct position, but which would also allow me to pivot the mouse tray back under the keyboard when needed, in order to slide the keyboard under the desk. This modification is shown in the "share your own images" link at upper-left of the Amazon page, and anyone with a few tools such as an electric drill, a small saw and some wood glue can make this in less than 30 minutes. Obviously it requires drilling a "loose" 5/16" hole in an unused part of the keyboard tray which you can easily determine. With a sharp bit, I drilled a neat hole in the wood and colored the exposed wood with a black felt-tip pen. The photo says the rest.I wish it was made out of metal rather than wood, especially as the mouse pad isn't too stable and my imagination tells me that over time it won't last as well as a metal one would. It articulates very well though (although my husband doesn't use the mouse pad as he doesn't find it stable enough however there's plenty of room on the platform for a mouse). It's improved his ergonomic position greatly (especially with a great arm that I got him for his screen). This looks like a useful keyboard, but I found that I can't install it on my Ikea desk because the attachment is a long, flat metallic piece (approx 6" x 22"), and components of my desk preclude installation. I had tried to see how these install before buying but didn't see any information. The tray will probably be great if you can install it, but check first!I bought two of these trays. One replaced the tray in my office and the other at home. I chose this model, because the one I replace in the office was the same exact tray. I bought it 12 year ago when it was available in OfficeMax. The reason I had to replace it was because it broke my fall about a month ago. I believe any other tray would of failed to prevent my fall. I replaced it, because a hair line crack developed along the plastic hinge after the fall. It probably would of lasted me another year, but I felt after 12 years of service and preventing a fall was all I could ask of this most excellent product. A nice extra was it had only gone up twenty buck since I bought it 12 years ago. Buy with confidence that you are getting a quality product.I like this product for the value. Quality of materials. The only downside is that theadjustable tray has to be done manually which is a little bit of an inconvenience but other than that is pretty sturdy piece of equipment and I would definitely recommend it.Positive: the mechanism is very good with sufficient range of motion to satisfy any user. Overall design I have found to be also good.Negative: the slide mechanism sticks often. Maybe I made a mistake in installation or maybe it needs some wd40. The tray material is functional but a soulless blue gray color screams office park and cannot be considered a design positive.Tray is solid, well built, easy to install. The tray is a bit small and has no side or rear "bumpers," so I was worried the keyboard would slide off the tray. I solved this by using the sticky felt things you use to on the bottom of chair legs to protect your floor. Stuck one on each side and rear, problem solved.
