The switches (Cherry speed silver) are great for gaming with the higher actuation point (quicker key presses) and light actuation force. The keys are relatively quiet, but can be loud if pressed hard, like most keys. Construction seems VERY solid. I love the minimalistic design (it's not compact or scaled down - just less extra area around the outer edges) - it allows more desk space and the option to use your own wrist rests rather than a crappy plastic one many manufacturers add. It has a lot of nice tweaks specifically for gaming, such as wider left shift and control keys and alternate color WASD key caps. The RGB lighting is very customizable, with lots of good presets, but this leads me to the "room for improvement" part of the review, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5...The keyboard supposedly has onboard memory, but will not save custom RGB lighting schemes to the keyboard onboard memory. Arggh! This means that if you use the keyboard on multiple PCs/ other devices, the color profile you spent 30+ minutes designing won't work. Every device HAS to have the ASUS lighting software installed to use your custom RGB layouts, so that can be a problem. If ASUS fixes this, I will change this to 5 stars. One other nice tweak would be to add a silicone layer/barrier between the key caps edges and the keyboard to reduce noise from overly-enthusiastic key presses.Overall, it's an excellent keyboard for gaming and also works well for typing. I would definitely recommend it - particularly the linear switch versions (cherry red or cherry speed silver) for gaming. This keyboard is also probably one of the best value boards for gaming if you want high quality construction, quality mechanical switches, RGB lighting with various effects and the ability to customize.While this is a nice keyboard, I ended up returning it for the TKL version. When I ordered, I was under the impression that it’s the same keyboard only with numpad. But it actually has a fixed cable versus the TKL that comes with the detachable USB-C cable. Also I got the Cherry Red on TKL instead of the Asus propriety new switches. I feel for comfortable having Cherry although they’re discontinuing them. He is able to integrate the colors to match his computer and mouse.Amazon advertises this keyboard in the title as having Cherry MX Silent Red switches. However, the keyboard I initially ordered and the replacement order sent to me both have regular Cherry MX switches. I really wanted to get the silent switches for streaming purposes, so I was initially disappointed. Please keep in mind my 2 star review is not for the quality of the keyboard I received, but for the advertising and service provided by Amazon. The Cherry MX deluxe keyboard I ended up keeping and I'm very happy with it. Worth upgrading from my previous membrane Logitech keyboard to this one. Performance is great, keys feel responsive, wrist rest is comfortable, and the keyboard build quality feels superb. I'll recommend this keyboard if you're looking for one with Cherry MX, just don't order if you want one with Cherry MX Silent switches.Works well and as advertised, but mine is a bit defective as sometimes the keyboard doesn't turn on. I've tried different inputs, have plugged in a USB drive to each port, and removed any dust so its definitely the keyboard. It fixes if I remove it and plug it back in.I wish it had a USB pass-throughIts way better then i thought it would be, it feels premium and it also has a good weight to it and feels good and when they say fast switch they meant it, cause sometimes its so easy to push a button, its lil difficult to type without auto correctBuen material funciona perfecto.I bought this while it was on sale.This keyboard is great. The model I got uses MX Red switches which are nice. The keys feel nice when typing, but they do put off a hollow-ish sound. You could overcome this by adding o-rings or stuffing cotton in the keys themselves. The stabilizers in the spacebar, backspace, enter, shift and the left control aren't the best. You can hear them rattle every time you use the keys, but I wear headphones mostly so it doesn't really bother me. Again, you could just put cotton in the caps to remedy that.The palm rest that comes with the keyboard is alright. I wouldn't buy it on it's own for the $30 price tag, but it is nice to have and the magnets are great on it.I tried to buy a MX Silent Red switch version of this keyboard for full price and I was sent an MX Red switch keyboard instead, so I can't review that one, if you wanted to know about it since this is under the silent red title.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.The keyboard is fine - not the best mechanical keyboard out there.
